My
messages at the Fall Festival Nov. 4-8 at the West Olive church of Christ,
a
congregation
of over 400 members in Peoria , Arizona, went very well. The Fall
Festival
included my speaking nights Wednesday through Friday and three
times
Sunday; Nov. 4-6, 8. Two were baptized--one after each of the last two
lessons
on Sunday.
Saturday was an out door carnival like program, that was attended by around
200
children and adults. Members and visitors attended. The congregation was
very
involved in helping with the program. Along with others I was a judge of
pies,
chili,
and a talent program. Judging was enjoyable, especially sampling the chili
and
pies.
The Fall Festival arranged by Jimmy Pinzon went very well.
I met Jimmy in Velaria, Venezuela in 2000. I covered his 2 years of study
in
the
preacher training program at Harding. He is considered a family minister
in the
West
Olive congregation, which is situated in Peoria across the street from
Sun City,
a
retirement city. Young Town is near that includes all ages.
Tomorrow I am to present an evangelism workshop, noon through 4:00 PM
at
the Hector, AR church,
No trips are planned until next February in Chia, Colombia. They have
plans
to plant a congregation in a nearby city. I may go in June to help.
Russia is
planned
for an April trip.
Thanks for your prayers and interest.
